MADE IN THE USA
|
Wildwood Farms’ products are all proudly made in the USA! We manufacture right here in the middle of the country in our DeWitt, Iowa facility. We start with raw materials bought in the United States and handle all of our manufacturing processes in-house. We try to obtain our supplies locally whenever possible and take pride in our commitment to creating and keeping jobs in our community. We believe we have the talent and the determination to continue to compete with our competitors that have chosen to import their products thinking they are more cost effective. We disagree with that philosophy and think that MADE IN THE USA should mean something, we hope you agree.

Why Feed Squirrels?
|
I have had many people ask me “Why feed squirrels?” They go on to say that squirrels raid their bird feeding areas and create messes so they spend more time cleaning up and re-filling their feeders. Some have gone as far as purchasing elaborate devices that are designed to keep squirrels from their feeders, most of these are expensive and of questionable value to the task at hand.
At Wildwood Farms we have come up with a more animal friendly and enjoyable way to solve this on-going backyard battle. By feeding the squirrels on opposite ends of your property from the birds the squirrels will tend to leave the bird feeders alone. Through extensive research on squirrel behavior and habits it has been found that squirrels are very territorial and when fed on a continuous basis away from bird feeders they will mark their area as their own. They will also defend it from other squirrels entering the area. This is beneficial to us in three ways: the area remains limited to one squirrel family; the squirrels tend to leave the bird feeders alone; we get to enjoy their antics instead of battling them every day.
Wildwood Farms promotes innovative and nature-friendly ways to handle every day issues, if you have any ideas or thoughts that you would like to share with us please feel free to use this site. We look forward to hearing from you!

Welcome
|
Welcome to our new and much improved website. We hope you find it very user friendly and informative but most of all easy to use. Feel free to let us know if you have any suggestions on how to improve the site, how to improve your buying experience and/or any product ideas you may have. Our driving goal is to not only listen to our customers but to be responsive to our customers' wishes.
Wildwood Farms was founded by Jo Aulick who on her own created a whole market for feeding squirrels. She started with a few basic feeders and began packaging ear corn to feed the squirrels. Before long the idea took off and a whole industry was born. WWF has always been known for quality corn and we are in the process of re-introducing that once again. Look for that in the coming months. As a result of her success many other manufacturers have moved into this product line and offer similar feeders. But remember WWF is the original and we are back.
Look forward to more blogs coming to this space and feel free to share any thoughts or ideas you may have. We want to create an open forum to make this a truly great company.
Thank you for your interest in our products we hope you enjoy them.
